Tattoo Artists
A tattoo is a form of body modification where a design is made by inserting ink, dyes and pigments, either indelible or temporary, into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment. The art of making tattoo designs is tattooing. Due to tattooing in western societies being traditionally illegal, tattoo artists may do their craft in tattoo parlors, at festivals, on the street or in other secluded tattoo locations. Tattoo artists normally learn their craft via an apprenticeship under a skilled tattoo artist, making tattooing one of the few forms of traditional training in the arts not based in a formal educational setting.
