The artist was born on February 24, 1978 in Seoul. In addition to rapping, Gary is a songwriter, producer, TV presenter, and actor. At the moment, the rapper works and performs solo, however, this was not always the case. In 2002, the group Leessang was founded, where Hee Gun was a creative duo and wrote songs in collaboration with Gil Sung Joon (Gil). Since their formation, the group has released eight albums and several hits.
In 2014, Gary made his solo debut with the album Mr. Gae. The project was banned by numerous TV channels due to its 19+ content, but the love and support of the fans managed to bring several tracks to the top of the charts. In collaboration with the artist Cho In, the famous hits "Your Scent" and "Bicycle" were released. Also, collaborations with PSY, Baek Ji Young, Dinamic Duo, MC Mong, etc. are still popular.
