Scott Hoying was born on the 17th of September, 1991, in Arlington, which is situated in Texas. He has always been a person who is fond of music. When he was a child in infant school, he was taken to different competitions and school contests. He started to play the piano when he was only eight years old. When he was in High school, he performed at local parties in his town, such as weddings and other celebration and events. When he finished school, he was enrolled into the university, where he continued his musical attempts. He became a member of a band which was named ‘SoCal VoCals’. He did not perform in the cast of this group long and later he joined another one, which was named ‘Pentatonix’. The aim of the members of the band was to participate in the television project ‘The Sing Off’. In the result the band became the winner in the third season, and they got a very profitable contract with the recording company ‘Sony’.
